“Vatican Museums 3D” opens today in theaters, offering audiences a 3D tour of the Sistine Chapel and Vatican Museums, without a need to travel to Rome.
Presented in RealD 3D, the one hour, 10-minute immersive documentary will allow audiences to journey through the Museums and the Chapel, and admire paintings by Leonardo da Vinci and Vincent Van Gogh, frescos by Michelangelo, statues from antiquity and other works by Raffaello, Caravaggio, Dalí and more.
The film marks the first time Ultra HD 4K/3D film cameras have been allowed inside the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel.
The film is in partnership with Fathom Events, and will be shown in 2D and RealD 3D. Additional encore shows will be in select theaters throughout the world.
