On Wednesday, the Pope was entertained by circus performers. He took the occasion to remind them and the faithful that “beauty always brings us closer to God.”
The artistes and technicians of Liana Orfei’s Golden Circus performed acrobatics and magic tricks in Paul VI Hall for the general audience.
In June, the Pope greeted circus performers and other performers for their jubilee celebration, telling them, “You do great things! You are ‘artisans’ of celebration, of astonishment; you are artisans of beauty: with these qualities you enrich the society of the whole world, also with the aspiration to nourish feelings of hope and trust.”
