Pope Francis Visits Homeless Shelter at Rome's Airport

Last Stop Before Boarding Plane on Apostolic Journey to United Arab Emirates

Before boarding, the Pope visited the structure used to support homeless people, promoted by Aeroporti di Roma, according to the Vatican Press Office.
The structure is part of the project “Lives in transit, an airport with a human face” and provides support to the homeless shelter and stationed at Fiumicino airport. Launched in 2017, the project unites engaged, through a memorandum of understanding, Aeroporti di Roma, Caritas in the diocese of Porto-Santa Rufina and the Parish of the airport.
