«The Pope is close to France, he prays for French Catholics and for the Parisian population under the shock of the terrible fire which ravaged the cathedral of #NotreDame. He assures his prayers for all those who try to face this dramatic situation.»

UPDATE: While the devastating fire to the Cathedral of Notre Dame, has caused the roof and spiral to collapse, recent reports show the towers and the structure may have been saved. Also some of the treasures, including the Crown of Thorns, also is believed to have been saved. The fire has been contained. Stay tuned to ZENIT as it keeps bringing you the latest.
