Pope Francis Appoints Apostolic Nuncio in Ghana

The Holy Father has appointed as apostolic nuncio in Ghana the Reverend Msgr. Henryk Mieczysław Jagodziński, nunciature counselor, raising him at the same time to the titular see of Limosano, with the dignity of archbishop.

Msgr. Henryk Mieczysław Jagodzińskiwas born in Małogoszcz, Poland, on January 1, 1969. He was ordained a priest on June 3, 1995, and incardinated in Kielce. He holds a degree in canon law.

He entered the diplomatic service of the Holy See on July 1, 2001, and has served in the pontifical representations in Belarus, Croatia, in the Section for Relations with States of the Secretariat of State, and in the Pontifical Representations in India and in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He knows Polish, Italian, French, English, Croatian, Russian, and Spanish.
