Archbishop Dolan Represents US Bishops in Haiti

NEW YORK, JAN. 22, 2010 (Zenit.org).- The archbishop of New York, also chairman of the board of Catholic Relief Services, is representing the U.S. bishops’ conference at the funeral of Haitian Archbishop Joseph Serge-Miot.

The funeral of the archbishop of Port-au-Prince, who was killed in the Jan. 12 earthquake that destroyed the Haitian capital, will take place Saturday.

Archbishop Timothy Dolan was invited to Haiti by the apostolic nuncio to that country, Archbishop Bernardito Auza.
