Pope Francis has  encouraged Filipino bishops to find new ways to proclaim the “miracle” of God’s mercy and to spread the message of God’s enduring love for all.
According to Vatican Radio, the Holy Father did this in a letter to the Asian bishops who are currently holding their Plenary Assembly in the city of Cebu, which will host the 51st International Eucharistic Congress.
On Friday, the assembly opened with a Mass celebrated at Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral and yesterday, it concluded.  On the agenda for the bishops were a number of issues, including May 9th General Elections.
In the letter, the Pope also prayed that this Jubilee Year of Mercy would truly be a time “to gaze even more attentively on mercy so that we may become more effective sign of Father’s action in our lives.”
