AVA intends to «compensate the families victims of abortion induced or caused by medical imprudence, making their voices heard in administrative proceedings and pertinent judicial endeavors,» the group said in a statement.
Believing that abortion «has serious psychic and physical consequences,» the group wants women considering abortion to receive full information about the medical consequences of abortion.
The group also hopes «to make public the teams of researchers who make use of induced abortions for their experiments and to report this utilitarian procedure to the Ministry of Health and the courts.» It estimates there are 77,000 abortions a year in Spain.
The association aims to see that «human beings voluntarily aborted are not the object of commercial use or research,» but on the contrary are given a «pious burial.»
AVA also hopes to «recover the memory of the victims, 200 human beings who die every day in this country because of induced abortion.» The group will suggest that civil and religious public ceremonies be held, and monuments built, in their memory.
