In the midst of our failings and defeat, let us this Lent, remember God’s Kingdom will come.
Pope Francis encouraged Arabic-speaking Christians, especially those from the Middle East, to do so during today’s General Audience of Wednesday, March 6, 2019, which marks Ash Wednesday, the start of Lent.
After his catechesis on the Our Father, the Pope said: «Dear Brothers and Sisters, ‘Your Kingdom come!’ Let us sow this word in the midst of our sins and failures.»
«Let us give it to those who are defeated and bent by life, and then we will hear the Lord’s Prayer answer. May the Lord bless you!
Pope Francis concluded, saying: «May the Lord bless you all.»
