Pope Reminds About ‘Responsibility’ to Make the Faith Grow

Addresses Arabic-Speaking Christians at General Audience

At the General Audience, over which Pope Francis presided on April 18, 2018, he pointed out to the Arabic-speaking Christians their “responsibility” to make the faith grow, which they received at Baptism.

During the greetings in a number of languages, the Pope addressed the Arabic-speaking participants, particularly those from Syria, Lebanon and the Middle East.”

“Baptism gives us the grace to receive the Holy Spirit , who sows in our heart the seed of the faith,” he said after his catechesis on this Sacrament.

It is “our responsibility to make the Sacraments, prayer and works of charity grow through the word of God,” added the Pontiff

“May the Lord bless you and protect you from the Evil One!” he concluded, before being translated into Arabic by a collaborator.
