Walter Edyvean was born Oct. 18, 1938, in Medford, Massachusetts. He earned a bachelor´s degree in English at Boston College. After studying philosophy at St. John´s Seminary College in Brighton, he obtained a licentiate and doctorate in theology at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome.
He was ordained a priest in St. Peter´s Basilica on Dec. 16, 1964, for the Archdiocese of Boston. Since 1990 he has been head of the Official of the Congregation for Catholic Education with the Roman Curia. Monsignor Edyvean also has been director of Villa Stritch, the residence for U.S. diocesan priests serving the Curia.
Richard Lennon was born March 26, 1947, in Arlington, Massachusetts. After studies at St. John´s Seminary in Brighton, he was ordained a priest on May 19, 1973, for Boston.
His duties have included assistant for canonical affairs of the Office of the Vicar for the Administration of the Archdiocese of Boston. In 1999 he was appointed rector of St. John Seminary School of Theology.
