Daughters of St. Paul Urged Toward a Bold Use of Media

Seventy-two religious are attending the meeting in Ariccia, Italy, which began Aug. 20 and ends Sept. 24.

Among the speakers was Paulist Father Silvio Sassil, who proposed bold use of the media to proclaim Christ.

«Our congregations should not be proud of not being in the vanguard of communication,» he said. «Although it is true that we were not born to follow fashions, we have been generated in the Church, however, to make the person of Christ present in any form or realm of communication.»

Discernment sessions for selection of a new Mother General will be introduced by outgoing Superior Giovanna Maria Carrara and begin Sept. 16.
