Colombian Boy Dies Without Seeing Kidnapped Father

BOGOTA, Colombia, DEC. 19, 2001 (Zenit.org).- Andrés Felipe Pérez, the boy whose father is being held hostage by the guerrillas of the Colombian Revolutionary Armed Force, died of cancer Tuesday in Buga, hospital sources reported.

The boy´s last wish was to see his father before dying; a wish that was seconded by John Paul II himself, who appealed for the father´s liberation.
