Santiago Creel Miranda, secretary of Mexican governance, on Thursday disclosed the date that John Paul II will arrive to canonize the Indian who saw the apparitions of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

After meeting with ecclesiastical authorities, including Monsignor Renato Boccardo, assistant chief of protocol of the Vatican State Secretariat, and Cardinal Norberto Rivera Carrera, archbishop primate of Mexico, Creel said that no definite agenda has been established for the Pope´s visit.

Monsignor Boccardo went to possible places that the Holy Father might visit during his fifth trip to Mexico. The canonization will likely be at the Basilica of Guadalupe, officials said. The Pope will be coming from World Youth Day in Toronto.
