Papal Trip to Poland Confirmed

VATICAN CITY, MAY 28, 2002 (Zenit.org).- Bishop Stanislaw Dziwisz, the Pope´s personal secretary, confirmed that the program for John Paul II´s August visit to Poland remains unchanged.

The bishop told the Polish PAP agency: “We have never spoken about a change or delay in the trip.”

John Paul II plans to visit Aug. 16-19. The trip´s program includes a visit to Krakow and to the Kalwaria Zebrzydowska shrine, near his native city of Wadowice.
