Clarifying news published in the Italian newspaper Il Messaggero, Father Ciro Benedettini, subdirector of the Vatican Press Office, said on Saturday that the beatification will not take place in October. But he added that its progress is «very positive.»

Following Mother Teresa’s death, John Paul II in an extraordinary decision waived the five-year waiting period to open the beatification process of the founder of the Missionaries of Charity.
