Pope John Paul II, when declaring October 2004 to October 2005 as the Year of the Eucharist, pinpointed Corpus Christi, to be celebrated May 26, as the high point of the year.

Benedict XVI, in his first message on April 20, also urged that the solemnity of Corpus Christi be celebrated in a particularly special way.

The resources include a booklet that outlines the basic history of the celebration of Corpus Christi, guidelines for celebrating a holy day, the liturgies of the day, and planning suggestions. Other resources include guidelines for the music and Eucharistic procession.
