The initiative is being organized in the village of St. John Vianney, patron of parish priests, by the International Catholic Charismatic Renewal Services, an institution headquartered in the Holy See.

Collaborating in the organization of the retreat are the Community of the Beatitudes and the Community of St. John Vianney.

Meditations will be led, among others, by Cardinal Philippe Barbarin of Lyon and Archbishop Stanislaw Rylko, president of the Pontifical Council for the Laity.

The retreat is scheduled to conclude in the nearby town of Paray-le-Monial, where St. Margaret Mary Alacoque (1647-1690) lived, the Visitation religious who received apparitions from Jesus.

Archbishop Csaba Ternyak, secretary of the Vatican Congregation for Clergy, will speak at the shrine of Paray-le-Monial.
