VATICAN CITY, JAN. 1, 2010 (Zenit.org).- Benedict XVI will be praying particularly for the digital generation as 2010 gets under way.

The Apostleship of Prayer announced the intentions chosen by the Pope for January.

His general intention is: “That young people may learn to use modern means of social communication for their personal growth and to better prepare themselves to serve society.”

The Holy Father also chooses an apostolic intention for each month. In January he will pray: “That every believer in Christ may be conscious that unity among all Christians is a condition for more effective proclamation of the Gospel."
