VATICAN CITY, JAN. 31, 2010 (Zenit.org).- Benedict XVI repeatedly affirms there is no conflict between faith and science. This month, he will be praying that all scholars and intellectuals will come to know God through their search for truth.

The Apostleship of Prayer announced the intentions chosen by the Pope for February.

His general intention is: “For all scholars and intellectuals, that by means of sincere search for the truth they may arrive at an understanding of the one true God.”

The Holy Father also chooses an apostolic intention for each month.

In February he will pray: “That the Church, aware of its own missionary identity, may strive to follow Christ faithfully and to proclaim his Gospel to all peoples.”
