I had the very great pleasure and privilege to have met Ralph on one of his visits to Australia and to prove it is indeed a very small world, my husband and I were traveling by train through France and there were only three of us in the carriage — this other woman was a researcher for Ralph McInerny, which we discovered while chatting. I mentioned I loved his Fr. Dowling novels and of course his more serious work. May he rest in peace in the arms of his Father in Heaven.
