Article: Spanish Bishops: Abortion Law a Step Backward

I am the Department Head of Medical Microbiology at a clinical laboratory serving 1,000-1,200 patients daily in the heart of Toronto, and strongly adhere to the principle of doing everything possible to save and preserve life.

Any matter of life and death is a very serious matter. No human being on earth has any authority to perform, legalize, or condone abortion.

The Spanish Conference of Catholic Bishops and the Holy See have the duty to place any of their Catholic subjects – be they members of Congress, Senate, or even the king himself — under excommunication for voting or signing into law any provisions that legalize abortion.

The king should protect the right to life of children on their journey to be born, and refuse to sign this evil bill into law.
