Bishop Luigi Antonio Cantafora of that southern diocese announced plans for the Oct. 9, 2011, visit in Saturday’s edition of L’Osservatore Romano.
The Holy Father will also visit the Carthusian monastery of Serra San Bruno.
On that Sunday, the Pope will go to the Calabrian city for Mass, followed by the recitation of the Angelus. In the afternoon he will go to Serra San Bruno for the celebrations of vespers with the Carthusian community. His return to the Vatican is scheduled for that evening.
