The Pope offered this exhortation in his traditional greeting to youth, the sick and newlyweds, with which he concludes the general audience each Wednesday.

The Holy Father said: "May the Lenten season, which we begin today, lead each one of you to an ever more profound knowledge of Christ, so that in the various situations in which you find yourselves, you will be able to have his same sentiments and do everything in communion with him."
