The Entrepreneur Harambe Alliance’s Forum was held earlier this month at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross. It was sponsored by Harambee Africa International and the Acton Institute.
Okendo Lewis, president and founder of the entrepreneur alliance, explained that the meeting sought to «contribute to the reinforcement of a global network that brings together young African entrepreneurs so that concrete entrepreneurial projects will come to life in Africa, through associations with private and public businesses of the West.»
Businessmen of four countries — Nigeria, Ghana, Burkina Faso and Tunisia — as well as representatives from organizations of the public and private sector of Africa, gathered for the event.
The Harambee association was founded in 2002, on the occasion of the canonization of Father Josemaría Escrivá de Balaguer, founder of Opus Dei, to promote educational initiatives regarding Africa.
