White House Announces Delegation Attending April Canonizations

President Barack Obama has named members of the presidential delegation that will attend the canonizations of Blessed John XXIII and Blessed John Paul II, the White House has announced.

The highly anticipated event will take place on April 27th, also known as Divine Mercy Sunday.

John Podesta, special advisor to the President, will lead the delegation. Podesta also served as White House chief of staff to former President Bill Clinton from 1998 to 2001.

Podesta will be joined by Rep. Xavier Becerra, chairman of the Democratic Caucus, and Katie Beirne Fallon, assistant to the President and director of Legislative Affairs. (J.A.E.)
