Vatican Spokesman Confirms Possibility as Programme Released of Pope’s Visit to Strasbourg

The Vatican announced today that Pope Francis intends to make a visit to France in 2015.

In a statement headed, «In reply to questions from journalists», Vatican spokesman Father Federico Lombardi said: «In the context of the publication of the program of the visit of the Pope to the European Parliament and the Council of Europe, which will take place on November 25, as of now, I can tell you that the Holy Father intends to make an apostolic trip to France in the coming year year 2015.»

The Holy Father is likely to visit Paris and Lourdes. 

The Pope has been expected to make an official apostolic trip to France in the near future since the Vatican confirmed his upcoming visit to the European Parliament in the French city of Strasbourg.
