Pope Francis on February 4, 2019, met with the Muslim Council of Elders lasted about 30 minutes, according to the Vatican Press Office. The Pope visited the Great Mosque, accompanied by the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, the first Pope to pay tribute to the tomb of the founder of the UAE.
