Vatican Releases Schedule for Holy Father's Trip to Morocco

March 30-31 Visit will Include Religious, Ecumenical Leaders, Migrants

The Vatican on February 9, 2019, released the program for the Holy Father’s March 30-31, 2019, apostolic trip to Morocco.
The journey was announced November 13, 2018, by the Vatican Press Office. It comes at the invitation of His Majesty King Mohammed VI and the bishops of the country.

There had been speculation during 2018 that the Pope would accept an invitation to Morocco on the occasion of the UN Intergovernmental Conference to Adopt the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration in December 2018.
