After the success of the movie “Two Men and a Destiny,” Redford purchased a ski area in Utah, which he called “Sundance,” in honor of his character in the film.
His Sundance Institute promotes the American Independent Film Festival, launched in the ‘80s. “My commitment to climate change began 40 years ago,” explained Robert Redford. “If we want to avoid the worst scenario, we must act with daring and immediately, even in the face of indifference, apathy and opposition,” he said.
