Estonia: Pope Receives Prime Minister Juri Ratas

Pope Francis on February 9, 2018, received in audience Jüri Ratas, Prime Minister of the Republic of Estonia, who subsequently met with His Eminence Cardinal Secretary of State Pietro Parolin, and Rev. Msgr. Antoine Camilleri, under Secretary for Relations with States. During the cordial discussions, appreciation was expressed for the good bilateral relations and for the positive contribution of the Church to Estonian society.
Attention then turned to various themes of mutual interest at the regional and supranational level, including the protection of the environment, and migration. Finally, mention was made of the commitment of the international community to conflict resolution, according to the Vatican.
