Correspondence Course on "Medicine and Mission" Planned

ROME, JULY 27, 2004 (Zenit.org).- The Pontifical Missionary Union is organizing a two-year course on «Medicine and Mission,» beginning in October.

The course will be taught by professors of the Camillianum, a pontifical institute in Rome dedicated to health care ministry.

The course covers 16 lessons and will be translated into English, Italian, French and Spanish. It will be sent by correspondence to those who register.

Among the topics to be studied are «Medicine in Mission»; «Spirit and Body in Christian Anthropology»; «Aid Structures of the Church in History»; «Religion and Medicine»; and «Health in the Cultures and Religions of the World.»
