Bishop-elect Bradley, 59, was born in Glassport, Pennsylvania. He studied at St. Meinrad Seminary in Indiana and earned a master’s in social work from the University of Pittsburgh.
He was ordained a priest of the Pittsburgh Diocese in May 1971. His duties have included being director of the diocesan Office for Family Life. In January 2001 he was named rector of St. Paul Cathedral and pastor of St. Paul Parish.
He was named general secretary and vicar for the diocese in 2003.
