Officials from India, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, and Thailand will be at Caritas Internationalis headquarters this Tuesday and Wednesday to participate in a strategy meeting with scores of other Caritas agencies from around the world that have contributed to the confederation’s tsunami emergency operation.

Caritas has raised some $450 million as a key part of the Catholic Church’s commitment to «accompany» the people of the affected areas.

The two-day meeting will discuss effective ways to continue constructing earthquake-resistant houses and community infrastructure, creating jobs, and providing social assistance.
