As Jan. 22 marks the anniversary of the 1973 Supreme Court decision legalizing abortion, Roe vs. Wade, a novena promoted by the US bishops begins Saturday.

Each day from Jan. 17 through Jan. 25, participants can receive by email, text, app or at the web site, the daily intercession, reflection and suggested acts of reparation.

«On January 22 our nation will mark the 42nd anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court decision that made abortion legal throughout the U.S.,» the novena site notes. «Since that tragic decision, more than 56 million children’s lives have been lost to abortion, and many suffer that loss — often in silence. Join thousands of Catholics across the country coming together in prayer for a ‘culture of life’ from Saturday, January 17 –  Sunday, January 25!»
