When ordaining three new priests at the Torreciudad Shrine on Sunday, Opus Dei prelate Monsignor Javier Echevarría said that priests should be holy because they are «mediators between God and men,» and proclaim Christ.

The prelate reminded the faithful who crowded the church that «the layman is not a second-class Christian,» and urged all «to be saints and leaven for holiness in ordinary life affairs.»
