Christian Solidarity International (CSI) of Zurich said the liberated women and children were enslaved as part of the Sudanese government´s ongoing jihad against the Christian citizens of the south.
Interviews with 500 of the freed slaves indicate that nearly all were physically abused. Three-quarters of the slave women older than 12 reported being raped.
«They killed many people, including my son,» said Anguac Lual. «My master, Bashir, stabbed me in the neck and arm when I tried to stop him from giving away my three daughters. The blood was everywhere.»
