What great news about Cardinal Ouellet!
Having lived all my adult life mostly in the United Kingdom, after growing up during the days of «la revolution tranquille,» I was blessed with being able to attend the [International Eucharistic Congress 2008] in Quebec City. I found the congress that he organized and animated the greatest possible consolation and a sign of great hope for the soul of my country. From the stunning opening ceremony onwards, a new start was made, and a reconnection with the faith of our founders, which has enthused the younger generation and reanimated the older. I felt that the cardinal had done for Canada what Bishop Woytila had for Poland.
Now, he is moving to Rome, to be responsible for bishops: Wonderful! Thank God! And what hope also for the bishops at this particular time!
