Show Compassion to Haiti

A response to: Bishop: Let’s Build a Better Haiti

In fact, the «several foreign Catholic charitable agencies» belong, as does [Catholic Relief Services], to Caritas Internationalis, whose job it is to coordinate the relief effort internationally. It is doing a superb job. Representatives from Mexico to Austria and beyond are in Haiti, backed by funds from many other Caritas members throughout the world, including from here in Australia. All Catholics should donate to these charities to ensure the local Church, in coordination with the rest of the Caritas Confederation, can fulfill its social mission in the current crisis and show Christ’s compassion in practical form.
