Cardinal Edwin O’Brien, Grand Master of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulcher of Jerusalem; Cardinal Leonardo Sandri, Prefect of the Congregation for the Eastern Churches; Leonardo Visconti di Modrone, Governor General of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulcher of Jerusalem, gave interventions. Also, Agostino Borromeo, Lieutenant General of the Order of the Holy Sepulcher of Jerusalem, and Dr. Donata Maria Krethlow-Benziger, Lieutenant of the Order for Switzerland, were present.
The website of the Order indicates that this pontifical institution “works to help the Christian community of the Holy Land, today the territory of Jerusalem, Israel, Palestine, Jordan and Cyprus.” The motto of the Order is Deus lo vult ( God willing ).
