A «poor God» has entered history, «a beggar of everything» especially «of love and welcoming,» the head of the Order of Friars Minors said in a letter to help Franciscans prepare for Christmas.

«We are no longer alone» because, from the moment of the first Christmas of history, God has never left man, wrote Father Giacomo Bini, minister general of the Friars Minor.

Rather, he said, «it is we who often attempt to flee, setting off in search of a false, far-off image, or one in competition with that which he desires, ending up then by feeling troubled and prisoners of ourselves.»
