VATICAN CITY, JUNE 7, 2001 (Zenit.org).- John Paul II named Belgian Cardinal Jan Pieter Schotte, secretary-general of the Synod of Bishops, as special envoy to the centenary celebrations of the National Eucharistic Congress in St. Louis, Missouri, from June 15-16.
