UCA News, a Catholic press agency in Thailand, reported that the town´s residents took advantage of the national holiday, from Oct. 1-7, to reconstruct their church, but the government demolished it Oct. 25.

The government made this decision after Catholics refused to become members of the local section of the state-controlled «patriotic» church.
