During an audience today with representatives of ancient Eastern Churches, the Pope noted that the majority came from the Middle East and surrounding countries.

«Let us pray together that this region will be preserved from the threat of war and further violence,» he urged.

The Vatican Web site currently has a Prayer for Peace section with helpful texts.
