His missionary intention is: «That the Church in America, celebrating the 2nd American Missionary Congress in Guatemala, may be inspired to more generous evangelizing activity even beyond her own frontiers.»
The leadership of the Apostleship of Prayer explained that the purpose of these intentions is, in part, to encourage Catholics worldwide to «feel with the Church,» as the intentions «are windows open to current problems of the world.»
