«Ministers of the Eucharist should not take it upon themselves to deny holy Communion to anyone who presents themselves,» Archbishop Brunett said in a statement Monday, the Seattle Times reported.
Rather, «pro-choice» Catholic politicians should talk to their priest or bishop about their views, he said. Those who continue to publicly oppose Catholic teachings should, as a matter of integrity, refrain from Communion and not force the Church’s hand, he added.
