Cardinal George’s hope is that our politicians put aside party and partisanship to achieve the common moral good. Hopefully our president-elect will put his words into action to effect the cardinal’s hope.

You comment which infers our outgoing administration was over coercive […] went beyond the cardinal’s point of hope.

If the other party does not accept or work with a positive attitude then there can be no mutually positive outcome. Human nature is what it is: human — not perfect. There cannot be one-way solutions in this imperfect world. We need to be prepared to respond to negative outcomes. […]
