All very interesting and informative but, as far as I can see, no mention of the role of the Deacon in the Liturgy of the Word.
I know the article title refers to the Priest, but let us not ignore the fact that there are approximately 40,000 Deacons in the Church — over 100 in the Diocese of Rome itself — and one of our ministries is that of the Word.
