Imperfect, But Necessary

A response to: Catholics Warned to Resist Senate Health Bill

Although I have always thought of myself as a devout Catholic and supporter of the bishops per se, I am disappointed with Bishop Chaput’s uncompromising Republican partisan position. It should be obvious to everyone that in a country like the USA, with so many religious, ethical and political views, that one cannot always, if ever, get the full medical deal or health package without an agonizing amount of compromise. The priority was getting so many impoverished Americans the necessary health bill, as damaged and unsatisfactory as it was.
