It is my joy that the Catholic tradition of mercy, forgiveness and charity has always been with her. The same position has been exhorted by St. Paul in the Church at Corinth (2 Corinthians 2:6-8).

It is my sorrow that priests (and bishops) are still weak for their vocation.

But still the Holy Spirit will be with them just as how St. Peter rebukes and denies Jesus’ prediction of death and his connection with Jesus, authentic servants of the Church of God, repents and goes back being loyal to the Lord three folds. As human beings, they need our compassion and mercy in giving them another chance (Matthew 18:22).

The Church needs our unceasing prayers for our human leaders, especially the bishops, and most especially our Pope Benedict XVI.
